The Emerald Tablets of Thoth

I will jump right to the point and not dilly-dally until I have read it a thousand more times (each time, you find something new, or something makes more sense), because I think that I have the key elements of the Tablets down, so I will get right to it!

I think what the Tablets try to teach people is the history of mankind “losing” higher consciousness because of greed, lust, anger, and other lower emotions. Thus lowering the overall vibrational frequency of the world and making it a more grosser and less vibrant place. The process is akin to taking the keys away from the heart, ajna, crown, and throat chakra, and bestowing it to the solar plexus, navel, basic, and sex chakra. From such great heights to take such a plummet, don’t you think?

In these texts, Atlantis “sinking” is the very depiction of this event, and Atlantis symbolizes the higher faculties of man. One of the keys into unlocking Thoth’s ancient secrets is by constant meditation and self-purification, which then activates the Third Eye and the Threefold Flame of the Heart and leads to more clarity and higher dimensional thinking (love, peace, and understanding also comes when this occurs). Or leads to “gateways” into higher realms. (I have actually experienced this in meditation, and it is a trip, let me tell you.)

It is also the gateway into eternity, and what it essentially does is shed the death consciousness that humanity donned on long ago, which was the result of humanity lowering its vibration by entertaining lesser thoughts and forms of expression. The Key to Life, as he mentions time and time again throughout the texts (the Ankh, I believe), is some combination of the Third Eye and the Threefold Flame.

This then simply concludes as thusly: Through constant meditation (which requires effort and self-purification of thoughts, actions, and emotions) and allowing Divine Light to flow through you (by the proper awakening of the Kundalini energy and the Spirit Cord taking in more Divine energy) a human being is able to activate the Third Eye (see things clearly in a cosmically conscious way) and realize that they are divine sparks, souls, that are created perfectly in the likeness of the Divine Supreme God. The Threefold Flame also plays a significant role because its growth is essential to the overall Ascension process which Thoth is speaking of. The “fire” that cleanses and illumines can be attributed to the fire of the Threefold Flame, which when ignited, can roar through the different vehicles of the body and sanctify it. It is by reaching Christ Consciousness that all of this is possible.

Once this has taken place, what that allows them (beings) to do is free themselves of the three dimensional physical world (not by dying, since this is more of a rebirth), which is filled with glamours of death, lack, and darkness. By shedding the “darkness” in themselves and in the world, they become “eternal” because they are then living as all-seeing souls in a visible incarnated vehicle called the physical body (of course, there is also the emotional, mental, and etheric/spiritual body that play into this equation). Not the other way around.

It has been translated in a way that seems pretty straightforward, but is actually highly symbolic in most aspects. (I think!) Of course, all of this is my interpretation of the texts, so feel free to agree or disagree. I just felt the need to share this because I kept getting guided by my Spiritual Teachers to share this information, and I felt that it was the right thing to do, since there is so much mystery and intrigue surrounding these ancient texts.

There is more that I can get into in regards to the texts (such as “The Seven Lords” actually representing the seven major chakras that were known of back then), but I will do that when I have done a more thorough read-through, so that I can highlight some of the different terms in the texts and their symbolic counterparts more completely and in greater detail.

For now, I think this is a nice jump-off point. If anyone has anything that they would like to discuss about them, please let me know. All comments are welcome. I don’t really pretend to know anything other than what I feel is true for me (and I know there is more that I can learn from it the more that I read it), so I am sure there might be more extensive explanations out there in regards to this highly intriguing piece of literature.

Hope that this was at least a little illuminating!

P.S. Some links that I came across while I was grappling with fully understanding the Tablets, that really helped me bridge some gaps and feel as though I was interpreting them correctly.

This website has been such a wonderful gift of a find for me. Truly built on Light and truth. That is all that I can sense from it intuitively. Give it a shot and see how you feel:

The translated version of the Tablets can be found here with some other commentary:

Frankly, I haven’t read this version of the Tablets from this website, but I am not able to find the link to the other website I perused. I have no idea what the commentary is in regards to the website linked above, but once I have read the Tablets a few more times for myself and feel more secure in my overall understanding of them, then I will give that one a go!

Note: Found the original link! (Letting the above stay in case others are interested in the commentary.)
