EFT: Emotional Freedom Technique

Or: Tapping

Emotional Freedom Technique: A psychological acupressure technique that is commonly used to “Tap” on energy meridians on the body, in order to treat/lessen emotional and physical problems. It can be used for a variety of things, such as: removing/neutralizing negative emotions, reducing pain, implementing positive goals, and whatever else there is that you want to resolve, treat, or implement/enforce.

In the beginning, when I was just getting my feet and getting the hang of this, I would use a lot of the videos that Brad Yates and Margaret Lynch have produced/posted to get my daily dose of Tapping. I highly recommend checking out both of them, because there is a wealth of knowledge – and emotional and physical relief – available on their channels that they share with the public. When I was ready, I personalized some of the “scripts” – the things you say as you tap on the acupressure points – to better suit my needs. (Specific problems or goals I wanted to work on, for example.)

Here is Margaret Lynch explaining Tapping (or EFT) for those who want a more professional/thorough explanation:

I highly recommend EFT/Tapping, because it truly helps resolve and address some deep underlying issues (memories, thoughts, concerns, etc.) that you might have; it brings them to surface, addresses them, you forgive/decide to let go of it and no longer have it clutter your mind in a negative way. Or, if you want to make a positive change and have the message be cemented, you tap on the points until it “sticks” and any blocks in the way of you attaining that positive thing/goal is cleared away for you.

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s because it is. It is like a kin of Ho’oponopono, in a way. Ho’oponopono is broken down into: I’m sorry, please forgive me, I love you, and thank you. One must face and address any ill-feelings and memories so that the good things can stay, and get recorded in the subconscious, and then bring forth those positive changes into realization.

That’s the thing that holds people back. Using some of these techniques helps you gain as clean of a slate as you ever will, because your mind becomes silenced and no longer shouts the opposite of the wonderful things you are thinking/wishing for – if there is no negative emotion attached to these memories, then they hold no power of you, dear reader.

I digressed a little, but yes! I love EFT and use it fairly often.

Here is Brad Yates combining EFT/Tapping with Ho’oponopono:

I have not had any strange or odd experiences using these techniques, but in the spirit/interest of full disclosure, I found a website – while I was researching to get more in-depth info – that suggests that it is better writing your own personalized scripts and Tapping away on the points.

Here is the link: EFT Pros and Perils

I kind of think that the article might be a bit self-serving and sensationalistic, but I want you guys to check it out anyway. I, personally, haven’t had any strange problems when I’ve used Margaret’s and Brad’s videos. But once I’d gained a deeper knowledge of it, I did personalize the scripts and found that to be much more effective. But, yes… please do take your entire health into consideration – take responsibility for your health – because, as I have said, I am not a doctor. I am merely sharing helpful information, tips, and tricks.

Here is a link that helps you outline your scripts and personalize them on deeper level: EFT Tutorial

Anyway, let me know how it goes! I hope this information helps, and I wish all of you infinite love and happiness.

“Be open to everything, and attached to nothing.”

One of my favorite quotes by Dr. Wayne Dyer. I try to keep this mindset throughout the entire day, because it lets life and circumstances flow freely through you and to you, without limitations. It lets things change and morph naturally, instead of letting my perception of things color my entire world in a certain way, or limit growth. If you are attached to nothing, then you are free.

If you are open to everything, then Divine guidance is better able to direct you on a more prosperous, loving, and fulfilling life-path. The gifts and all of the powers of the universe flow through you easily, because you are open and without judgement.

Faith is essential. Hope is essential.

And to finish off this mini-post, I’ll add my favorite movie quote:

“Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.” (Andy, Shawshank Redemption)

I went to Barnes and Noble today to read through/take a look at the book that Dr. Hew Len had helped – through his participation – Joe Vitale write. It’s called Zero Limits. (Joe Vitale is an author of many, many interesting books and dvds – and his work covers subjects such as living a more prosperous/meaningful life by subconscious training/rewriting, to taking care of your finances the right way… He offers a few of his books for free, I believe, and I’ll link you guys to that when the time is more appropriate and we are further ahead in our course. Or shall I say my outline? Haha, this makes my hobby sound so much more sophisticated.)

First of all, it’s a great book that covers all of Joe Vitale’s conversations of Ho’oponopono through group training and 1-on-1 sessions with Dr. Hew Len (it felt like a bit of a blessing to be reading it), but also exactly how Dr. Hew Len goes about approaching Ho’oponopono in his everyday life.

One of the key things that stood out to me, was this: Dr. Hew Len considers himself and everyone around him to be a perfect being filled with with faulty programs. (Or as Joe Vitale calls it, “viruses.”) And even though he does take 100% responsibility for the experience and acknowledges that it is an unconscious part of him and that other person that has created the “problem” – the subconscious programs – the way he cleanses it, through Ho’oponopono, is almost more effortless and hands-off (if I can describe it that way) than I thought.

Dr. Hew Len acknowledges the emotions/memories/circumstances, cleanses them with Ho’oponopono, and then lets the Divine take care of it in a way that he doesn’t always understand. All he does is clean, and then have faith the Divine will see to the rest.

And it works, make no mistake. It’s just that, in the past, my understanding of it was a bit more limited, I think. Faith plays as big of a role as the cleansing. It’s about forgiving, accepting, LOVING, thanking, and having faith that the Divine Spirit will unravel whatever it is that you are dealing with, and cleanse it absolutely.

Anyway, just wanted to share! I was so inspired after I read it, that I had to. I’ve also been immersing myself in Pranic Healing – healing the body through energy applied from another person. It is a chakra cleanse of sorts (the certified healers read a person’s aura to understand their problems so that they can resolve them/kick-start the body’s natural healing energies), and then fresh healing energy is applied to the parts of the body that need a boost to speed up the healing process. I’ve been mainly sticking with Master Stephen Co’s teachings, and it has been a blast. Might share some information about it once I am properly educated on the topic. (I’d also love to learn the practical application of it, because it is so fascinating. Looking for certified classes as I type this.)

As I said in my previous post, I’ll hopefully be covering Tapping next. There are so many gifts in this world to share, it is truly amazing.

Or: I’m sorry, Please Forgive Me, I love You, and Thank You

Ho’oponopono: to cleanse.

This is the Number One Thing that holds people back from trying to change their lives in a meaningful way – in a way that sticks. It’s so simple, and the logic behind it is pretty sound. Forgive yourself for things in the past that you were at fault for. Forgive those in your past for hurting you. Sounds simple enough, right?

Well, Ho’oponopono takes that a little bit further. Not only does Ho’oponopono teach you to forgive yourself for your own mistakes – and this includes memories, thoughts, ideas, actions and etc. that have negative emotions attached to them – but also take 100% full responsibility for things that have happened to you that weren’t in your control. It might even be stuff that is happening to you that you are uncomfortable with/unhappy about right now. It might be your current situation. Now, that makes it a lot tougher.

Ho’oponopono teaches you that everything around you – every person – is a reflection of you. That the root of everything lies in you (good and bad). This means, of course, that if at the core of it, we are all connected to everyone and everything, then you have the power to fix your life in a way that is pretty profound.

As Dr. Dyer says, even at your lowest, remember: “There are no justified resentments.” Your friend might’ve said/done something to you that negatively affected you. Your mom/dad/sister/brother/boyfriend/girlfriend weren’t the best, and might’ve filled you up with doubts and thoughts/ideas that are unpleasant. The thing is, though – they might never apologize for these things. They might never give you the kind of emotional relief you are seeking by absolving themselves. You have to take it into your own hands, and heal yourself.

Dr. Hew Len says, “What is going on in me that I am creating this experience.” He is the current pioneer and leader of teaching the healing ways of Ho’oponopono. In fact, many years ago, when he was strong-armed into working at a mental institution in Hawaii, he practiced Ho’oponopono in his office so that he could cleanse himself. He looked through the patient files/charts – and the patients there were varied, but some were unstable and had done some terrible things – and started doing Ho’oponopono on each and every person. As funny as it is, he said in a recent interview that he didn’t do Ho’oponopono to heal the patients, but he did it to heal himself. If the patients were a reflection of him, and if his beliefs taught him that every person was a perfect being (in the Bible), then the problem was with him. He said that the patients weren’t crazy and bad, there was just a part of him that had made them to be that way. He took 100% responsibility of his situation, and decided to change it.

Ho’oponopono helped him cleanse his surroundings in such a way, that the workers all came back to work in a few weeks (they would call in “sick” often), instead of being frightened away. It cleansed him and his surroundings – the people, as well – in such a way, that the patients there no longer had to be chained and restrained. They were even permitted to go walking around. The patients healed, and instead of the institution having a 2-4 years turnaround time, the patients would be out of there in 3-4 months. They eventually had to shut down the institution. Honestly, that is so amazing that it’s a bit jaw-dropping.

So, the wonderful thing about Ho’oponopono is that you don’t have to wait for anyone to apologize to you. You don’t have to wait for something that might never happen. If we are all a reflection of one another, and if at the core, we are similar (and good), then you have the ultimate power – and this is a truly amazing thing you are doing, make no mistake – to take on responsibility for whatever it is that fills us with those low emotions, and through acceptance, forgiveness, and love, we heal ourselves. We heal our pasts. We even heal those people, in the process. That is how amazing Ho’oponopono is.

I used Ho’oponopono to erase and cleanse thoughts and memories from my past that were even tied to my time in high school and certain people there. (I didn’t know that some of those thoughts were so powerfully negative until I did Ho’oponopono on them. The relief was actually almost physical, with the way I felt so light and thankful once I was done.)

I use it to cleanse each and every negative thought and memory that pops into my head and slows down my progress and/or tries to change my mood. I even use it to cleanse my surroundings, sometimes. (A neat fact: inanimate objects contain energy. So, if you find yourself in a place that makes you uneasy, try to use Ho’oponopono to cleanse the energy there and put you at ease.)

The way that I normally go about using Ho’oponopono is by saying, “I’m sorry that there is a part in me that unconsciously and without meaning to created this problem/idea/thought. I’m glad that I now have the chance to permanently address this issue and cleanse it forever. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.” You can say this to yourself, a god/deity, another person, or whatever you feel is appropriate at the moment.

I do it often enough until I feel that the negative emotion attached to whatever it is that bothers me dissipates. I also do it when I am meditating, and my mind is more clear and focused, and I can go through each memory more easier/freer. I do it on little problems or blocks throughout the day, when I want to change my fortunes and make sure that I am in the best position to succeed. And funny enough, using it even on the most innocuous things has a way of solving your day-to-day problems in a heartbeat.

There is also a technique called “Tapping” that a lot of people do to help cleanse and clear themselves, and I’ll go into that in further detail in my next post. You can combine Tapping and Ho’oponopono and get even quicker results, if you really want to shift something in your mind around.

So, before you try to jump into a better, more wonderful future, you first have to take heed of the little anchors in you that might be unintentionally sinking your ship before it’s even left the harbor. That is the primary reason why some people never accomplish trying to shift their lives around for the better – because they have too many things in them that are hidden, unresolved, and simply ignored.

It doesn’t have to be a scary experience, dipping into your memory banks and starting the process. With some practice, it’s like looking through a photo album. It can be pretty efficient.

Remember: I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you. Arm yourself with this, accept that there is a part of you that is at fault, and then cleanse it. Give yourself the blank slate that you deserve. Allow yourself to move on. We are all remarkable beings – accept that and honor that.

You might cry as you do this, and that is perfectly fine. That means your body is releasing the negative emotions associated with these thoughts and memories on a permanent, intrinsic level. It means that these negative thoughts can no longer make you sick, make you feel guilty about anything, and make you doubt yourself. Remember: Negative emotions can make you physically sick and even kill you.

Use Ho’oponopono until you feel that shift, were the chains are loosened and you are able to breathe freer, easier. My mom, who is extremely stubborn and is a master grudge-holder (and also happens to be sick), has been doing Ho’oponopono for merely two weeks, and just yesterday, she called to tell me that in her dream the night before, she shook hands with someone she had been angry at and betrayed by a few years ago, and told him to take care of himself. She told me that there was a really strange calmness to the entire thing – as she shook his hand, and he told her to stay in touch. She said that she wouldn’t stay in touch with him, but that it was fine. They wished each other good luck. I was floored. I knew that she could do it, but to have proof of her cleansing on a subconscious level, made me feel so immensely proud of her. Better yet, she was really proud of herself, too, and her spirit was boosted.

I’m sorry. Please forgive me. I love you. Thank you.

Take care, dear readers. Until my next post!

Love,

Ani

P.S. A link that you might find useful, even though I tried to cover the main points in my main post.

http://www.thereisaway.org/Ho%27oponopono_cleaning_meditation.htm

Okay. So I had planned to go in a semi-specific order and put up a new segment/part of “Detoxing the Mind: Self-improvement made easy via readily available resources online” every few days, but… I got sidetracked. In a major way.

I was looking for a certain meditation video that dealt with explaining time suspension. Obviously, you know how it goes when you are looking for one thing on Youtube – ten minutes later, you’re looking at funny videos of kids saying this or that.

Well, I came across Dr. Pillai and his videos. In his videos, he goes into detail about universal scientific sounds, full body meditation where “light” travels through the body and into the universe, Vedic astrology, karma busting, etc. There is so much to cover, honestly. I have been spending a few days comparing and contrasting the things that I have learned from other religions and practices to what Dr. Pillai teaches, and it has been fascinating.

If the very thought of Astrology and celestial power – Quantum Physics plays a big role in this, scientifically – is too much for you right now, then it might be better for you to delve into this deeper when I have covered more of the groundwork. You can skim it, though! Nothing wrong with that.

All I know is, once I feel that I am done analyzing and parsing out the information, then I will continue. And just so that doesn’t sound too ominous and open-ended, it’ll probably take another two days, max.

Here are the links I’ve been perusing for the past few days:

http://www.youtube.com/user/DattatreyaSivaBaba/videos?view=0

http://www.youtube.com/user/PillaiCenter/videos?view=0

http://www.pillaicenter.com/

I know bits and pieces of most of his teachings from other sources, but the way the gaps are being filled – gaps I wasn’t even aware I had in my knowledge – is truly enlightening.

Until next time, dear readers!

Ani

The only way to get you to understand exactly what it is that you have to do to change your life around at a fundamental level, you have to understand how the mind works. It is a must. It is the only way. Mainly: The Conscious mind, and the Subconscious mind. Some even group in a Super Conscious mind. (You will also be introduced to what the Alpha, Beta, Theta, and Delta states are – brain waves, essentially – and it will be a good introductory future segue into the next post.)

I will define them for you in very simple terms, because the very meaning and essence of them gets lost in medical/scientific jargon oftentimes. Basically:

1) The Conscious Mind: is everything inside of our awareness. It is the part of the mind that is aware of thoughts, ideas, and beliefs. It is where every emotion, thought, idea and feeling is analyzed and rationalized.

2) The Subconscious Mind: if the Conscious Mind were to be a teacup (to put it plainly), then the Subconscious Mind is the cupboard where that teacup is stored. The Subconscious Mind stores every memory you’ve ever had, including all of your experiences, the things you’ve seen, and it is innate knowledge. Going back to my previous analogy – the Subconscious Mind is infinitely more powerful than the Conscious Mind.

3) The Super Conscious Mind: it is tied with the Subconscious Mind, but it is also what some consider to be the place where pure innovative creation takes place. The Super Conscious Mind is boundless imagination and immensely powerful.

To truly explain the significance of what the Conscious Mind and Subconscious Mind are capable of, I highly suggest watching these four videos, featuring Dr. Bruce Lipton, Bob Proctor, and Petrie. It can be a nightmare to find the right videos to clearly explain the differences, without confusing you immensely.

I find Bob Proctor and Bruce Lipton to be the premiere sources in truly understanding our minds and ourselves better, and if you don’t feel like doing your own research and checking them out any further, then by viewing the four videos up above, you are already on the right path to changing your life around and tapping into something magnificent. You are already more enlightened and aware of yourself and your surroundings than most of the population.

This is the first step – knowing exactly what you are dealing with. And while it is a lot to take in, you absolutely have to just process the information and accept these things on an almost objective level. Many people – including myself – get fearful of the immense power they unconsciously wield, and once they are aware of it, they travel back into their pasts and blame themselves for every misfortune that crossed their path.

Learning these important, life-changing facts is your key to a better future. Do not blame yourself. We have all done some regretful things in the past and have had some unfortunate things happen to us, and the key to harmonizing your present with your past – for only right now, at least – is getting informed. It is by seeking truth so that we may have amazing futures, and have full control over it.

I am very proud of you for choosing to live a better life, despite any natural reservations you may have. I want every person – not enough people know, and that is the tragedy in all of this, dear reader – to be happy and prosperous and free.

And, once again, I am not selling anything to anyone. I am not affiliated with these people and their services in any way. I am only sharing the things that I found to be most useful and important when I was trying to change my life around a year ago.

Comments and questions are welcome. I am not a doctor nor a psychologist, but since I have been helping my friends understand these things on a deeper and a more personal level recently – I think I can at least put you on the right path to get the exact answers you are seeking.

Love,

Ani

Hi everyone!

I realized sort of by surprise today that even though many, many people want to change their lives around and come out of bad situations, the very thought of trying to figure out from where to get the information from and where to start, can be extremely daunting. It can be exhausting and draining – and I know, because I have been there.

I have done the research, read the articles, and spent hours upon hours listening to people talking – or waxing poetic, in some cases – about how to get to the promised land. I’ve gone through the rubbish and I’ve found some gems. You get both, really. The fact of the matter is, that by the time you get the exact information you need, it can take weeks. It can be disheartening and make you want to throw up your hands and call it quit before you even get to the really good stuff.

And that sucks, honestly. You are trying to make changes at a fundamental level, and all you are getting is one guy telling you about his product/service and then handing you off to his buddy. You don’t know what is legitimately useful and who to trust.

Well, dear reader, I have definitely been there and done that. I have smacked my head on my desk in simultaneous fits of enlightenment and frustration.

To put it simply: I am going to link you to the things – free things! article-things and video-things! book-things, too! – that I found to be the most useful, essential, and lessen that workload for you. And it is work, make no mistake. By the time you are done digging in deep to find out what is a scam and what is genuine, you have to take a shower and go to bed to prepare for another nine-to-five work day.

I want to help, because when I look back on it today, I could have seriously, seriously used some of this information.

So instead of just compiling all of these useful tools in emails and just shooting them off to my friends, I am going to share them here.

I sincerely hope that you guys find them as helpful as I did – and still do – and that it helps make a reality the kind of good life-altering changes that you are looking for.

Wishing everyone peace and love,

Ani Keshishyan
